Happy New Year everyone.  It is our first day back here officially in the office at JLL although a lot of my team have been working with clients over the past few days.  One of the best (and maybe most challenging!) aspects of being in the real estate industry is the fact that it doesn’t stop!

Already I have been asked that most dreaded question – “What is going to happen this year in the Hong Kong real estate market Stella?”  Nobody could tell you for sure what is going to happen but thankfully I work in a company that has one of the largest research departments both around the region and locally here in Hong kong.  If anyone is going to be able to forecast the market most accurately it will be us.

If your lease is coming to an end this year and you are thinking about moving then please let me know.  On the flip side, if you have a property that your tenant is sadly moving out from then please do get in touch.  Yes there has been an obvious move from ‘corporate leases’ to ‘personal leases’ but thankfully, JLL still has some key financial institutes as well as many individuals as their clients.
